Thursday, February 9
Morning:
Weather: 22 degrees, clear, sunny, no wind - perfect.
Quality of Ride: Excellent. Very little traffic.
Tech Issues: Weird thing - I thought I dropped my chain while on Beacon because the pedal spun forward - I pulled over but it turned out not to be the case - possible cog problem in the freewheel? Don't know.
Incidents: One SAP, one Near Door Experience
Comments: Photo is of the Mother of All Intersections - Msr Obrien Highway and Edwin H Land Blvd looking toaward Gilmore Bridge.
Evening:
Weather: 32 degrees, clear, no wind
Quality of Ride: Good
Tech Issues: None
Incidents: SAP on First Street in Cambridge. She was pulling luggage on wheels.
Comments: Photo is of the Mass Ave exit off Memorial Drive westbound. This evening I did the Cheese Grater without incident - it was light enough at 5:15, as you can see, to risk it. This little stretch in the photo is like doing a victory lap - at this point you've made it through.
